It was on the George Stroumboulopoulos Late Night Show that I learned Canadians are among the world's leading best "sitters". We love to sit. We lounge. We waste a copious amount of time on social networking sites. Hakunamatata. It is Friday the 13th and perhaps that may be the reason for all my friends deciding to stay indoors tonight. Or perhaps it is the sudden rain that started about fifteen minutes ago. Some "have work in the morning", others "haven't spent much family time lately". Really though, I think the reason they've all chosen to stay inside is because they are professional "sitters".
What are all my friends doing at this very moment? Melting into their couches and watching '90210' or catching up on last season's 'Dexter'. I don't have much to say for myself, I mean, how am I spending my time any better sitting at my laptop typing this out? My only defense is that my intentions were not to do so tonight.
I wanted to out with some guys 'n' dolls to go watch 'THOR'(which came out May 6th). I was even planning on suggesting heading out to a pub afterwards to enjoy a couple 'a' beers. Sadly my good intentions never received the oppurtunity to play themselves out.
Relationship-lovers, lazy slugs and club rats are what make up my scattered, and numerous, circle of friends. If they're not sitting, they're out at clubs dishing out money they don't have and making memories that will never be. If they're not at "Revival", they're at home in front of their TV set, or attending to their significant other's magnanimously important needs.
Makes me want to throw up.
Anyhow, that's all I have to say about that.
Oh, speaking of Friday the 13th...

Mind Splatter
As an English Major, I have always been interested broadening my scope and integrating the best possible diction into my work, to capture my thoughts on paper just as they appear in my mind. As a student at the University of Toronto, I find it a real shame we do not offer more creative writing courses. In third year there is one creative writing course offered,to be precise. Recently, while mosing around on www.artsandlettersdaily.com, I came across an article written exceptionally well about the popularity, or lackthereof, creative writing. If you are curious to find out more about what writer Mark McGurl has to say about creative writing programs, writers and their personal thoughts about their own work, and more, please read on and check out this link!

Distractions, Distractions
I don't know what to do. My mind can't concentrate on anything for more than 10 minutes. I can barely find any motivation to sit here and type.
I didn't think missing someone could hurt this much. I want to jump up and scream and shout and curl up in a ball and cry and kick and punch and hide...I don't know what to do first.
I honestly cannot believe I'm posting this up on the Internet.
I've forgotten what it's like to feel happy.
I've lost my smile.

A Diary Entry
I can't seem to remember what movie this line is from, or what book I may have read it in, or on what radio channel I may have heard it, but it is resonating in my mind at all hours of the day. It's something along the lines of:
without you, everything good isn't as good
I miss him all the time. I really can't say there's a moment he doesn't cross my mind. Any good news isn't as good as it would be if I were able to share it with him. Food is tossed to the side. The sun tries to make me smile, but sometimes it just hurts too much to muster a smile.
I can only hope he thinks of me from time to time.
I can only hope.

Let me clear it up for you:
You know you've heard it before, but you just can't put your finger on it! You think of it every time you hear this song:
I will finally put your mind at ease. Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull's "On the Floor", uses the melody from Gregor Salto & Kaoma's "Lambada":
And there you have it. You cant go to sleep now.

Sittin' at home waitin' for somethin' to happen...

Exam time blows. End of story. It especially blows when all your friends are done with their last exams and you still have one to go...
...the day after the biggest 'end-of-the-year-party'.
Meaning: studying the night before is out of the question and a mind-numbing hangover is inevitable.
Great.
That's the pickle I find myself in. It's 20 degrees and it's Saturday night. And the Brazilians next door are having the time of their lives. I know becuase I can hear them.
Phenomenal.
